Flea and Parasite Treatments Available at Hopes
To help meet the needs of the pet and to maintain an effective control against parasties treatments are constantly changing. Here's a few availble at Hope Veterinary Surgery, please phone and speak to one of our lovely staff members for more information.
BRAVECTO: A spot-on (for cats and dogs) or tablet (for dogs) treatment that lasts for three months!!!
Bravecto treats both fleas, ticks and some mites.
BRAVECTO PLUS: A three monthly spot-on for cats
Bravecto plus treats: fleas, ticks, some mites and roundworms!
NEXGARD SPECTRA: A monthly tablet for dogs.
Nexgard treats: fleas, ticks and roundworms.
NEXGARD COMBO: A monthly spot-on for cats.
Nexgard combo effectively treats fleas, ticks, tapeworms and roundworms.
PRINOVOX: A monthly spot-on.
Treats fleas, ticks and roundworms. Especially well used to treat lungworm!
STRONGHOLD: A monthly spot-on.
Stronghold treats fleas, some mites, some lice and roundworms.
VECTRA 3D: A monthly spot on.
Ideal for dogs who like to travel, both in the UK and abroad.
Suitable for use under the pets travel scheme, this spot on treatment repels and kills fleas, ticks, mosquitos, lice, sand flies and mites. Use monthly with Milpro worming tablets to cover against lungworm and make sure that all you bring back from your holiday is a happy pet!
All the treatments mentioned are prescription only.Your pet will need to have been seen by us in at least the last 12months. If they haven't, we will be pleased to make you and your pet a free appointment with one of our nurses.
